Anchor Kids

Anchor Kids is a Sunday morning experience designed just for kids! All kids, birth through fifth grade, experience safe and fun environments where they can grow in relationship with friends, leaders, and God. The Bible is taught in creative and relevant ways so that your child can grasp and understand God’s word. Our desire is to partner with you as parents to be another voice in your child’s life so your child will know, love, and live their life for Jesus.

All our leaders are background checked, children are checked in and out by a secure system, environments are cleaned before and after service. Check in begins at 9:45am every Sunday. We can't wait to make Sunday your kids favorite day of the week.

Kids Check-In

Our check-in process is easy, safe, and secure. When you check your child in, a name tag is printed for them with a specific code. Parents will also receive a tag with a code that matches your child’s tag. This label is used to pick up the correct child at the end of class. Children will only be released from class to an adult guardian who has their matching tag.

Our Purpose

Anchor Kids exists to create a community where kids can be known, and belong, as well as to guide our kids to grow, grow, grow. Grow in learning God’s word, grow in experiencing Jesus’ love, and grow in using the Holy Spirit’s superhero power in their lives.

We desire our kids to build an authentic relationship with Jesus that lasts, to learn to love God and to love others, depending on the Holy Spirit's guidance in their lives.

We believe this happens by creating consistent experiences on Sundays where children build relationships with leaders who are following Jesus as well as with peers who are following Jesus. Where they can hear God's word, talk about their lives, worship together and pray for each other.

Sundays alone are not enough, we also believe partnering with you as the parents is key. You are the most important influence in your child's life. We strive to celebrate the milestones with you and to walk through the trenches of the day to day life, along side of you. We are here for you!

Our classes are broke up by age groups in the following ways:

  • Nursery = 0-2 years old.

  • Pre-K = 3-5 years old and not in Kindergarten

  • K-5G = Kindergarten-5th graders

Our Anchor Kids Leaders are trusted, trained and committed individuals of Anchor Church.

Background checks - all leaders 18 and older are background checked by a company called Checkr.

The Classroom

Curriculum

We use The Gospel Project produced by Lifeway Church. It is a Christ-centered, chronological Bible study that focuses on Gospel Story, Gospel Culture, and  Gospel Mission.

Our classroom components include:  

  • Worship videos

  • An oral or video lesson

  • An all-class prayer time

  • Snack time

  • Craft time

  • Energy burning activity

WE LOVE OUR ANCHOR KIDS

How do we keep your kids safe?

  • Our leaders are trained, background checked and vetted.

  • We have a two leader rule, meaning your child is never alone with a teacher.

  • Our kids environment is a separate space that only kids and leaders get to be in.

  • We have a no sick kid policy.

Middle School & High School

Every week, Middle Schoolers will be dismissed after worship to gather together for a time to connect with one another and learn more about Jesus!

We invite our high school students to join our adult gatherings and believe the content is engaging and applicable for their lives.
